From our clothes to our food to our beds, lined with synthetic fiber, to our work tables laminated in plastic tops, it is all around us. Microplastics are small pieces of plastic 5mm or less, either manufactured that size or degraded from larger objects.
Ingested by fish and other marine life, they infiltrate our tap water systems, and absorb chemicals in the water that surrounds them.
Multiple viewpoints will be presented and gallery visitors will be encouraged to share their thoughts through surveys before and after the exhibition. More About the Exhibition: Mark Ormond, Curator will be working with Tess Lockey a Junior Illustration major who was born in Hong Kong and raised in the Philippines and has lived near the sea all her life.

Artwork will be created by Ringling College students, with some works selected from final projects created for the Ecology of Water class.
